[Remarks by Director]
The stillness of August feels both profound and far-reaching.
Time seems to slow its pace, leading us into a state of quiet suspension: calm on the surface, yet surging with unseen currents within. Energy accumulates silently, like faint light at the bottom of the sea, waiting for the moment to burst forth. For B.DANCE, this month is one of reflection and grounding—an essential passage before new horizons unfold.
As our European tour in November draws near, every rehearsal and contemplation becomes more than a daily routine. They are rehearsals for the future stage itself. August is not a blank space, but rather a draft refined over and over. It reminds us that art is not only born on stage, but also in the quiet and steadfast accumulation beneath it.
This month, I also joined the Dance Forum at Zhongshan Hall. Engaging in dialogue with artists from diverse backgrounds compelled us to look again at the essence of dance: it is not merely an aesthetic form, but a resonance with society, a vessel that carries both public meaning and cultural memory.
At the same time, we look forward with anticipation to our upcoming collaboration with Fubon Art Museum. When dance enters the museum, new chemistry will emerge between the body and the space. The audience will no longer be passive observers, but invited participants, weaving together an experience that is both sensorially rich and intellectually engaging.
The stillness of August is the brewing of strength. What appears subdued is, in fact, the quiet gestation of momentum. This energy will soon ignite on European stages—transformed into vivid, burning bodies in motion—and in every encounter, it will resonate and spark with you.
