B.OTENTIAL

A place where the future happens
It Begins with a Single Question
In 2024, we hosted an exclusive dancer training camp limited to just 15 participants. Taught entirely by Artistic Director Tsai Po-Cheng, this intensive 7-hour program condensed his original training system into an essential curriculum—guiding students directly into the core physical techniques and psychological resilience required of a professional dancer. Participants immersed themselves in B.DANCE’s acclaimed repertoire that has captivated Europe, peered into the immediate reality of the rehearsal studio, and for the very first time, truly witnessed the inner workings of the professional dance world.
This starting point was small, yet it directly addressed a very real disconnect.
In 2025, we amplified the question. The "Dance Practice and Empowerment Project" (舞蹈實踐力計畫) seeks to confront a long-standing structural dilemma head-on: the gap between professional training and industry practice. This discrepancy causes friction and fractures at every stage of transition—affecting students, emerging creators, active dancers, and arts administrators alike. No one is an exception.
We then began opening up our platform across multiple tiers—establishing a career translation mechanism, deepening internal training for bodily and self-awareness, supporting the cultivation of creative thinking, linking international collaborative networks, and allowing dance to truly step out of specialized spheres and into communities and daily life.
With every step forward, we see more people who have yet to be caught by the system.
The Challenges We Witness
Asian culture is rising rapidly on the global stage. Yet, unlike the music, film, and fashion industries, contemporary Asian art has long suffered from a profound lack of independent international hubs, sustainable touring ecosystems, and long-term networks for talent mobility.
Artists continue to move, but culture does not truly stay.
What are we building?
A cultural mobility system for the next generation of Asia, transforming Taiwan from an art exporter into a center for the generation of Asian culture.
B.OTENTIAL is still under construction. If you are interested in this direction, we would love to discuss it further.
"A place for what is still becoming.
A place where future culture continues to emerge.
