ABOUT B.DANCE

B.DANCE was founded in 2014 by Artistic Director Tsai Po-Cheng. Adhering to the concept of "bringing Taiwan out and bringing the world in", it promotes international arts and cultural exchanges through contemporary dance and is currently the only arts and cultural group in Taiwan that focuses on the European market.

Since 2021, the troupe has collaborated with the French agency Delta Danse, becoming its sole representative Taiwanese dance company. Through their joint efforts, they have achieved remarkable success, touring 28 countries and 134 cities to date, accumulating over 370 performances, and their tour continues to expand. Over the past eleven years, the troupe has won numerous awards on the international dance scene and received invitations to perform from many leading theaters.

Following the global pandemic, Tsai Po-Cheng led his Cheng Dance Productions team on another European tour in 2022, performing over 30 shows annually across Europe. In 2023, they performed at the Vaison International Dance Festival in a renowned historical theatre dating back to the first century AD, to the applause of over 3,000 audience members. Following this, they performed at the over half-century-old Festival Nuits de la Citadelle and the Cannes International Dance Festival, founded in 1985.

In early 2024, he traveled to Paris and was invited to perform at the second Tant qu'on danse festival. He also conducted numerous dance workshops and masterclasses in the Greater Paris region, targeting dance schools, amateur dancers, and dance enthusiasts to cultivate future dance talents. Tsai Po-cheng has spared no effort in using performing arts to break down national boundaries in Taiwan and Europe, primarily France, creating many innovative achievements. He is one of the important promoters of contemporary arts and cultural exchanges between Taiwan and Europe.

Be Dance And Never Cease Existing.
Contemporary performance × cultural system
Connecting art, society, and brand experience.

Artistic Director Tsai Po-cheng believes: "Dance is a kind of taste, worth savoring. Every moment we experience in life is touching, and different perspectives lead to different understandings. By appreciating and feeling the subtle flow of emotions, we can create extraordinary and resonant works of art."
