Between us, there is no room for outside voices. Dissociation is mercy extended to the brokenhearted — a small act of self-concealment, a way to forget a little. Between us, only white and black remain: white mutters quietly to itself, black lays its plans in silence.
White is water, black is fire — only your body and mine can burn, can flow. In the years we spent apart, we waited in stillness. Time will eventually reclaim all ownership. Before the world comes to its senses, we hold dominion over the dark.
