::Remarks by Director ::
July was a quiet month.
There were no new performances, and no grand stage.
Yet we know that some of the most important changes often do not happen under the spotlight. They take place slowly, within days that appear ordinary. When NET came down from the stage, it did not end. Instead, it began to seep into every corner of B.DANCE. We reorganized our creative methods, recalibrated the rhythm of the team, and began to reconsider what kind of dance company we truly wish to become.
This year, NET is not only our annual production. It has become something closer to a method. It reminds us that nothing exists in isolation. Each element pulls on, supports, and responds to the others, together forming a whole that continues to take shape. It is in this spirit that, this month, we officially launched B.DANCE’s new official website.
This is not merely a website redesign, but a re-articulation of the company’s identity. We have re-woven the works, creations, tours, and reflections accumulated over the years into a more complete and clearer form. Through this new entry point, we hope more people will be able to see the ongoing trajectory of B.DANCE’s growth.
Some changes are not dramatic. They do not transform everything overnight. Instead, through each act of organization, each adjustment, and each renewed understanding of ourselves, they slowly grow into a form that comes closer to their essence. Like a truly mature web. Its strength does not come from one particularly dazzling thread, but from every node finding its own place.
In July, we did not rush forward.
Instead, we chose to pause, to organize our relationships with one another, and to organize ourselves. Only when each node becomes sufficiently stable can this web hold more encounters in the future, more unknown journeys, and more stories that are about to unfold. We believe that true change never happens all at once. It is always, quietly and little by little, becoming something new.
